In the summer of 1999 my girlfriend and I spent four months
hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mexican border
in southern California to Crater Lake in Oregon. Here are
a few of my favorite photographs from along the trail.
The following photographs were taken in two of the East
Bay Regional Parks (Briones, and Las Trampas) near where
I live in Oakland, California. I have been spending a lot
of time at the parks recently in an effort to get my legs
ready for the big hike. Click on an image below to see a
